The world lost one of the good guys on the evening of December 23, 2024. We mourn the passing of Wayne Hodges, age 80 years old, of Carmel, Indiana, who died peacefully at home with his wife by his side after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer.
Wayne will be dearly missed by his wife, Pam; son, Stan Hodges (Megan); daughter, Stacy King (David); grandchildren, Bentley King (Lindsey), Connor King (Jordyn), Mackenzie Cross (Jason); and two great granddaughters.
Wayne is survived by his siblings Ozella Crawford, Dene Miller, Melvin Hodges, Bruce Hodges, and Ann Griffee. He is predeceased by parents Delbert and Glinna Hodges, brother, Felix Hodges and sister, Jean Lambert.
Wayne had a long and successful career with P. R. Mallory, literally starting at the bottom and ending as co-owner and CEO of Mallory Sonalert Products. He loved Mallory and his Mallory family, and he loved what he did. More than that, he loved his family, and he loved his friends. Wayne left a legacy of kindness that will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Wayne was known for his generous spirit and joy of life. He had a lifetime of memories enjoying classic cars, hunting and fishing trips, and enjoying time on Tellico Lake. He cherished his time spent and friends made in both Tennessee and Naples, Florida.
A gathering remembering Wayne will be held in Indianapolis at a future date. A graveside memorial will follow at his final resting place in Woodville, Alabama.
Please honor Wayne’s memory by donating to an animal shelter, a charity of your choice, or give a hand to someone in need.
