Charles Edward Gabbei

Charles Edward Gabbei, age 90, of Cedartown Georgia, passed away on July 15, 2019 in Rome, Georgia. Charles was the son of William Gabbei and Effie Mae Gabbei.

Charles nobly served in the US Army from 1951 to 1953. Throughout his work career, Charles’ was employed at Conrail, Mooresville School Corporation and lastly Plainfield School Corporation where he retired at the age of 75. Charles enjoyed camping, working outside in the yard, and baseball. He will be missed sorely by all the lives he touched.

Charles was preceded in death by his loving parents and 6 of his siblings. He will be greatly missed by his adoring wife of 52 years, Diane Gabbei; son, Scott Gabbei; and sister, Dorothy Jackson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 11am to 1pm at Flanner Buchanan – Floral Park with services to immediately follow at 1pm. Burial will be at Floral Park Cemetery.
