Charles W. “Bill” Cossell, 85 of Brownsburg, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2019. Bill was born on September 21, 1933 in Indianapolis to the late Charles I. and Edna Cossell. Bill served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Bill spent many years as a garage shop foreman for Coca-Cola Bottling Company until his retirement. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, Nascar, country music, puzzle books, wrestling and old western movies. Bill spent many years working on cars and collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia.
Bill was preceded in death by his son, Gary Cossell, brother, David Cossell, and sisters Laura Butler and Barbara Ann Rance.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Carol Cossell; son Charles “Doug” (Diana) Cossell and daughter Ginger “Dee” (Monte) Frye. Grandkids Jason Cossell, April (Jason) Jenkins, Tracy Ammon, Dawn (Brian) Holmer, Dana (Dave) Welsh, and Doug Williams. Great grandkids Mackenzie and Jacob Cossell, Austin, Brayden, Corbin, Kayleigh and Cameron Jenkins, Jayden Washington, Kyle, Abby and Emily Holmer, Arin, Blake, Chase, Sam and Sophie Welsh and Kylee, Dominic and Kai Williams. Sisters Claire Margaret Graves and Rosie (Randy) DeMoss and brother Frederick (Pam) Cossell.
Visitation will be on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Flanner Buchanan-Speedway, 2950 N. High School Rd., from 4-8PM and on Friday, March 1, 2019 from 12-1PM. The service will immediately follow at 1PM. Burial will take place at Floral Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made in Bill’s honor to the American Heart Association or the Arthritis Foundation.
