Cathyrn "Casey" Siegrist

Cathyrn (Casey) Siegrist, passed away on February 21, 2023. She was born of immigrant parents, Filomena & Pietro Cassinelli, on January 5, 1920, in Blue Diamond, Kentucky. She married William Walter Siegrist and adopted Indianapolis as her home. She had one son, William Albert Siegrist. She was a member of Athenam Turners, Athletic Club, & Five Seasons Sports Club. She was a longtime member of Northminster Presbyterian Church. Throughout her life Cathyrn had a competitive spirit, and that was exemplified by her love of sports. She was a five-time champion of the Ladies 18-hole group at Highland Country Club. She did volunteer work at the Salvation Army & Meals on Wheels of Indianapolis. Other interests included bridge, crossword puzzles & reading. Husband, William passed away in 1990. She was preceded in death by nine siblings. Cathyrn is survived by her loving family, William Albert Siegrist, beloved daughter in law Teresa Siegrist, and, in her words, beautiful grandsons, Zachary William & Evan Walter Siegrist, and now, dear daughter in law Meghan & her beautiful legacy, great granddaughter Mackenzie. A full life well lived. Funeral services & burial will be private and will be handled by Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park North. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Northminster Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis and Mother of Good Counsel Catholic Church 329 Poplar & Cedar Streets Hazard, Kentucky 41701.
