Cathy Ruth Burton

Cathy Ruth Burton, 72, of Kingston Springs, TN went to be with the lord on June 3, 2023.

Cathy was born in Indianapolis, IN on July 30, 1950 to her parents Charles and Ruth Sissom.

Cathy was a Registered Nurse for Vanderbilt Hospital for 32 years. During her time in healthcare, she was a lead RN in the NICU and taught Grief share Classes for many years. Cathy met the love of her life, Tracy, and together they spent a wonderful 57 years of marriage together. She and Tracy loved to travel, camps, and cruises. They took two cruises to Alaska together—which is a highlight of their travel memories. She was her families, rock and matriarch. She was a selfless woman who had so much love to give. She loved her family dearly. Cathy will be missed sorely by all the lives she has touched.

She is survived by her husband, Harry “Tracy” Burton; her brother in laws Clarence “Tiny” Burton and Ellis “Jr” Miles.

Cathy will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery on June 17, 2023.
