Cathy Phillips

Willa Catherine “Cathy” Phillips, 86, of Indianapolis passed away on January 21, 2017.

She was born March 18, 1930 to the late Tilford and Anne Marie Carrick in Birchtree, Mo. She worked as a bookkeeper and secretary for FA Wilhelm Construction, and Gieger & Peters, Inc., and retired at the age of 72. She loved spending time with family, watching the grandkids, spending time at the casino, playing bingo and games.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy A. Cooper (Jerry), grandchildren; David Cooper (Tammy) and Christy Benning (Tim), great grandchildren; Cody Cooper (Karie), Courtney Cooper (Cody), Wyatt Cooper, Garrison Benning, great-great grandchildren; Ryder Cooper and Asher Sharkey. She is preceded in death by her husband James W. Phillips, and siblings; Joseph Carrick, Sarah Foreman, and Mary Ballard.

A funeral service will take place at 1:00pm on Thursday, January 26th, at the Calvary Cemetery Chapel, with visitation from 12:30-1:00pm. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Altenheim Nursing Home or Heart to Heart Hospice.
