Cathy Marie Mcintyre

Cathy M. McIntyre, 63, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away peacefully at home on March 4, 2019. She was born July 20, 1955 in Brown County, Indiana to John and Georgia Burgess.

Cathy met the love of her life, William, by chance one evening as they lived in the same building. William asked her out on a date; he was an avid motorcycle rider and took Cathy for a ride to Gray’s in Mooresville. Her waist long hair didn’t hold up well during the ride; she was actually a little embarrassed to be seen in public so windblown, but she stuck it out to spend time with William. The rest is history. The pair were married after four years later on July 17, 1986. They spent nearly 33 years together, raising three girls and building a beautiful life for themselves. They remained deeply in love at the time of Cathy’s sudden passing. Most remember Cathy as an outspoken, stubborn woman with a heart of gold. She was giving and adored her family, especially her grandchildren. She collected angels and Elvis memorabilia and loved watching her CBS soap operas. Cathy also enjoyed going to car shows and listening to music, particularly Michael Jackson, Queen, Elton John, and Cher. She was an amazing, irreplaceable woman; her passing leaves an empty place in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to meet her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Georgia; siblings, June Emmons and Bud Burgess, as well as close cousins and friends who were by all means family to her. Surviving to cherish her memory are husband of almost 33 years, William; children, Dawn (JR) Dodd; Crystal (Brandon) Combs, Katherine (Chad) McIntyre; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.
