Catherine R. "Cathy" Franzman

Catherine R. “Cathy” Franzman, 82 of Carmel, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020.  Cathy was born October 30, 1937 in Lafayette, IN to the late John and Rose Stair. Cathy was a girl scout troop leader for five years while living in New City, New York. While a resident of Huntingdon Valley, PA, she owned 2 travel agencies in Warminster, PA until moving to Carmel, where she also worked in the travel industry until 2001.

Cathy was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, where she helped to assemble and send their Jubilee packet.  She was an avid crossword puzzle solver and reader.  Cathy also helped with some of the fundraising activities with her husband’s Sertoma Club.

Private graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 19 at Hamilton Memorial Park Cemetery.

Cathy is survived by her husband of 63 years, Dan; children, David (wife, Kim) Franzman, Dana Root and Gail Dillon; 8 grandchildren; one great grandchild.
