Catherine "Cathy" A. Bradshaw

Catherine "Cathy" Alice Bradshaw, a devoted wife, sister, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2023, in Carmel, Indiana. She was born on October 2, 1952, in Newark, New Jersey. Cathy's warm and kind-hearted personality touched the lives of all who knew her.

Cathy found immense joy in hosting and taking care of others. She enjoyed cooking, party planning and sharing her home with anyone and everyone. She loved having a house full of people and enjoying her time with family and friends.

Cathy's favorite role was that of a loving wife and mother. For 49 years, she shared a blissful marriage with her soulmate, Patrick “Pat” Bradshaw. Together, they built a life filled with love, support and unwavering devotion. Their bond will continue to be an inspiration to all who knew and witnessed their love.

Cathy adored her children; Danielle Riego, Kathleen Ayres and Brian Bradshaw. She loved spending quality time with them and found true happiness in watching them grow into remarkable individuals. As a doting Mimi, she showered her grandchildren with love through play, cooking, singing and special bonding time. To them, she was more than just Grandma; she was their friend, Mimi.

Cathy possessed a magnetic personality that drew people towards her. Her kindness was boundless, and her welcoming spirit made everyone feel instantly at ease in her presence. Countless lives were touched by Cathy's compassion and generosity. Whether you knew her as a neighbor, from church, her volunteer work, from school or childhood, when you were around her, you were in the presence of someone who truly cared about others in a way that made each individual feel special. 

In addition to being an exceptional teacher and loving family woman, Cathy pursued academic excellence throughout her life. She earned a master’s degree in education, education and modeled that love of learning to her three children. She was so proud of the accomplishments of her kids, grandkids and would take any opportunity to share about them to others.

A private viewing for immediate family will be held to honor Cathy's memory on October 10, 2023. Directly following, there will be a Catholic Mass at 11:00 am. Per Cathy’s wishes, please do not arrive at the church earlier than 10:45am. The mass will take place at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, located at 14598 Oak Ridge Road in Carmel, Indiana.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Patrick Bradshaw, her cherished children, Danielle Riego (Daniel), Kathleen Ayres (Bennett), and Brian Bradshaw (Alle), as well as her adored grandchildren, Dylan Riego, Raegan Riego, Rory Riego, Jaxson Bradshaw and Zachary Bradshaw.

May we honor her legacy by carrying forward the values of love, kindness, and dedication she exemplified throughout her life.
