Catherine Alice Letsinger

Catherine Alice “Cathy” Letsinger, age 77, of Fishers, IN, passed away on June 29, 2018. Cathy was born in Wauseon, OH on December 20, 1940 to her parents, Harold and Elsa (Harpst) Moffett. She grew up in Edgerton, OH and went on to graduate from Indiana University with her nursing degree. Cathy worked in many rolls during her nursing career, including a Unit Nursing Supervisor for IU Hospital, where she went on to serve as the Supervisor of the Kidney Transplant Unit.

Cathy adored her family and loved spending time creating lifelong memories with those that she loved. She enjoyed shopping, going on adventures with her grandchildren, gardening, playing bridge and celebrating the holidays.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Elsa Moffett. She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, John D. Letsinger, whom she married on December 27, 1961. Also surviving are her children: Stephen T. Letsinger (Donna), Sharon A. Eickhoff, and Douglas J. Letsinger (Denise); six grandchildren: Tyler, Emily, Rebekah, Benjamin “Ben”, Christopher “Chris” and Madeline “Maddie”; her brother, Richard Moffett (Vickie); nephew, Bryan Moffett; as well as many other loving family members and beloved friends.

Friends may call from 4pm until 8pm on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan- Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46250. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Friday, July 6, 2018 also in the Conner Suite. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
