Catherine A. (Meissner) Yoder

Catherine Anne (Meissner) Yoder, 90, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on November 8, 2021.  Catherine was born in Detroit, MI on September 24, 1931 to parents, Frederick G. and Ruth E. (Lentz) Meissner.  She graduated from South Side High School in Fort Wayne and earned her degree in Occupational Therapy from Western Michigan University. During her career, Catherine worked as a Registered Occupational Therapist for 55 years, retiring in 2015 from Larue Carter Hospital in Indianapolis.  She also spent many years as an instructor, teaching Occupational Therapy courses at IUPUI.  Catherine was a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and a charter member of King of Glory Lutheran Church. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley R. Yoder; parents, Frederick G. and Ruth E. Meissner; and brother, Richard F. Meissner. Catherine will be lovingly missed by her son, Richard F. Yoder; sister-in-law, Sharon (Cullen) Meissner; niece, Kathryn (Meissner) Hedrick (Robert); nephew, John F. Meissner (Tracy); great-nieces and great-nephew, Madeline Hedrick, Caroline Meissner, John Meissner and Jillian Meissner; as well as many other extended family members and beloved friends. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Washington Park North Cemetery (Great Hall Chapel), 2706 Kessler Blvd W. Dr., Indianapolis.  Private entombment will follow in Washington Park North Cemetery.
