Carroll Ann Lindsey was a caring and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Carroll fell ill back in 2012 leading her to develop chronic and painful illnesses. After a decade of battling to overcome, Carroll passed away in her home in Westfield, Indiana on June 29, 2022. She was 72 years old.
Carroll was born in Georgetown, Ohio. She later landed in Indiana, where she attended IUPUI earning a bachelor’s degree in English. Carroll enjoyed listening to Josh Groban and Celtic Thunder, using her artistic talents for crafting and painting, and celebrating every single holiday. She also found joy in creating afghans and doilies for her family, playing board games, and being a troublemaker in any way she knew how. One of her favorite things to do was to go see the Indianapolis canal dyed green on St. Patrick’s Day. You could also find her watching her favorite Hallmark Christmas movies surrounded by her plush Snoopys at any time of the year.
Despite often feeling sick or tired, Carroll was always full of kindness, love, and compassion. Carroll was unfailingly gracious and had a heart of gold. She welcomed any company and would hold a conversation with anyone that stopped by. She is already missed terribly, but her family finds comfort that they will see her again one day with a new body, rid of any pain or illness.
Carroll is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Jamie) Tucker, and her grandchildren, Gabby (Nate) Stark, Ryan Stark, Sam (Doug) Bell, Amanda (Chris) Hawkins, J.D. Lee, Jessica Winkler, Jason Stark-Jines, Kolt Stark, and Arielle Stark, as well as her siblings, Alfie Lindsey, Kathy (John) Newkirk, Patty Adkins, and Danny Lindsey.
Carroll is preceded in death by her children, Charlie Stark and Carrie Lee, as well as her parents, Alice Eddy and Herman Lindsey, and sister Mary Kelch.
Carroll’s viewing will be held at Flanner Buchanan at 4180 Westfield Rd. Noblesville, IN 46062 from 12pm-2pm on July 6th with a service to follow. Carroll’s final resting place will be at the Hamilton Memorial Park Cemetery, located on the grounds of the viewing location.
