Carrie Marie (Sanford) Sherrill

Carrie Marie Sherrill, 42, of Carmel, IN, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017. Carrie was born May 8, 1975 in Anderson, IN. She attended Ball State University, and graduated from Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana with a degree in computer programming. Carrie worked as a marketing manager for John Wiley and Sons Publishing for over ten years.

Carrie relished spending time with family and friends, traveling, and embracing new adventures and challenges. Her care for others always extended beyond her own circle, and she brought her kindness and compassion to local fundraising and community service, including work with School on Wheels, The Braun Foundation, and Ovar’Coming Together.

Family and friends are invited to gather from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, June 13 at Flanner and Buchanan-Carmel. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 14 at Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, 1605 E. 106th St., Indianapolis, IN 46280.

Carrie is survived by her husband, John; children, Anthony D. and Addison A. Sherrill; parents, Donald E. and Judy E. Sanford; sisters, Lisa M. (Steven) Driver and Angie D. (David) Coyle; nieces, Samantha (Luke) Thompson, Megan Driver, Makayla Coyle, Malorie Coyle, Katie Sherer; nephews, Sam Sherer and Jacob Sherer; mother-in-law, Joy Sherrill; sister-in-law, Amy (Mark) Sherer; maternal grandmother, Bonnie M. Sanford; and a host of grieving family and friends.

The family wants to thank Dr. Michael Callahan’s team and the wonderful, caring staff on the 6th floor of St. Vincent’s Hospital.
