Carrie Mae Lee

Carrie Mae Lee, 95, of Indianapolis, IN, earned her wings and entered Heaven on October 27, 2019.

Carrie was born on August 22, 1924 in Gerald, Ohio to the late Charles and Carrie Rafferty. Carrie shared life with six brothers and 2 sisters of whom two are surviving Patty Friddle and Eddie Rafferty.

Carrie was a loving mother to four rambunctious boys and dedicated wife to the late Wilbur Earl Lee. Carrie was the matriarch of the family and loved her boys and family fiercely. One of her favorite activities was cleaning and was known to leave any room cleaner than when she arrived.

Carrie is survived and missed by her sons, Charles (Sharon) Lee of Brown County, IN, Joe Lee (Karla) of Trafalgar, IN, and Jim Lee(Lori) of New Palestine IN and rejoicing in Heaven with son Ralph Lee; Daughter-in-law Sharon Lee of New Palestine;13 Grandchildren who will always remember Christmas Eve’s at her house along with many other special memories; 28 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great Grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Carrie was preceded in death by her loving parents; husband, Wilbur Earl; son, Ralph and his infant daughter Shannon Kay; brothers Charles, Jerome, Harry, Ralph and Leonard; and sister Charlotte.

Memorial contributions may be made to support the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association at FPWR Dept LA 23216, Pasadena, CA 91185. Visitation will be held at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN on Monday, November 4, 2019 from 11AM-1PM with funeral services to begin at 1PM.
