77 of Spencer, Indiana, passed away on August 18, 2024. Carolyn was born on July 19, 1947, in Shelbyville, Indiana to the late Paul and Violet Swinford. She was a retired Budgett Director for the Unites States Army. She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Spencer VFW. She was preceded in death by children, Michele Risley, Michael Risley, Jr. and Benjamin Risley, Sr., her husband, Clarence Johnson and her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Carrie Risley, grandchildren, Zackery Risley, Mandi Holman, Asianna Risley, Benjamin Risley, Jr., Dustin Risley, Michelle Linstrum, Lacey Risley and Katlyn Risley, sisters, Paula Chitwood and Frances Sanders and ten great-grandchildren. Services will be private. Entombment will take place at Floral Park Cemetery.
