Carolyn M. Connors Harlow
Carolyn was born on December 27, 1931, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Mauro and Cloda (Christy) Sferruzzi. She was a part of a trio of the “Sferruzzi Sisters,” of which she and her sisters were proud to be called.
She graduated from Thomas Howell High School in 1949, and then attended one semester at Butler University before starting her family, which she remained devoted to until her death.
In her younger years she enjoyed golf, bowling, and knitting. She was an avid lover of chocolate, bingo, casinos, and a good cocktail.
Carolyn was widowed three times and was also preceded in death by her parents, and sister Wilma Green. She is survived by her other sister, Virginia Davis.
Her legacy is left with her three children: Carmen Nevitt (Rick), Maria Gall (Mike), James Connors (Jennifer). She also leaves eight grandchildren who treasure the memories she has left with them: Baili Risley (Billy), Ryan Nevitt (Melissa), Jason Nevitt (Colleen), Brittany Nevitt (Cody), Rachelle St. Martin, Kristin Gee (Robbie), Penelope Connors, and Maya Connors; as well as eight great-grandchildren: Peyton, Reid, Brayden, McKenzie, Otis, Ocean, Ruby, Mauro.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 1pm – 2pm at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis. Funeral services will immediately follow visitation at 2pm. Carolyn will be laid to rest following services at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
