Carolyn A. Sorrells

82, Russell Springs, KY, formerly of Indianapolis, IN, passed away December 17, 2016. Carolyn was born in Indianapolis, IN on March 11, 1934 to parents, John E. and Alene (Bryant) Spray. During her career, she worked as a Dietary Cook for Western Electric and Miller’s Merry Manor. She adored her family and spending time with the ones she loved. She especially enjoyed large holiday gatherings together. Carolyn was a member of Eastern Star Oakland Chapter #159.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, John and Alene; her beloved husband, William A. “Bill” Sorrells; son, Freddy Baker; daughter, Karen Sorrells; and her siblings: Bill Spray, Gil Spray, Lenora “Nonie” Tate, Vera “Benny” Safranek, and Jerry Spray.

She will be lovingly missed by her children: Kenneth Baker (Brenda), Ruth Ann Moore (her late husband, James), David Baker (Julie), Ronnie Baker, Van Becker, Bobby Sorrells, Jeff Sorrells, Diane Sorrells, and Donna Becker; as well as her many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, extended family members and friends.

Calling will be held from 4pm until 8pm on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East, where services will be held at 10am on Thursday, December 22nd. Entombment will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.
