Carole J. Hiatt

Carole J. Hiatt, 75 of Carmel, passed away Friday, September 4, 2020. Carole was born December 8, 1944 in Evansville, IN to the late Regnal and Sydney Cain.

Carole was an Licensed Practical Nurse and worked in Philadelphia at the VA hospital as well as Coleman Women’s Hospital in Indianapolis when she was young. Carole provided in-home childcare for many years, most recently she was activities coordinator at several long term care facilities on the Northside of Indianapolis. She was a member of Hazel Dell Christian Church.

Carole was very active in the 4-H program in Hamilton County where she lead a local club and headed up the Hamilton County Cat Project for several years.

Family and friends are invited to gather from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday, September 15 at Flanner Buchanan-Carmel.

Carole was the widow of William O. “Bill” Hiatt. She is survived by her children, Aaron C. (wife, Beth) Hiatt and Edie R. (husband, Ron) Gentry; grandchildren, Ridge and Bryan Wilbur; great grandchildren, Atlas, Clint and Landon.
