Carol Elaine DeNease

72, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away May 30, 2017. Carol was born in Indianapolis, IN on August 28, 1944 to the late, Richard C. and Juanita A. (Piel) Barthel.

Carol retired from Lucent Technologies. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, history and traveling. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and C.W.A. Local #4795.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Juanita; brother, Michael Barthel; and two husbands, William H. Pritchett and William DeNease. She is survived by her children: Bruce R. George (Margie), Jill M. Browning (Mark) and Julie A. Dwenger (Randy); 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and dear friend, Barb Foster.

Friends may gather from 12pm until 2pm on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, with funeral services immediately following at 2pm.
