Carleton Richard Hillman, 77 of Indianapolis, passed away on August 6, 2018. He was born on February 10, 1941 to the late James O. and Mary I. Hillman.
Carleton, also known as “Dicky,” enjoyed spending time and telling jokes with family and friends. An avid Star Trek fan, aka Trekkie, Carleton enjoyed learning about space exploration, dreaming about living on Mars, and speaking Klingon… qamuSHa’.
Carleton was preceded in passing by his brother, James Hillman; and his sister, Ruth Brooks. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary June Hillman; his children, Norman (Debra), and Kirk (Sharon). Dicky will fondly be remembered by his grandchildren, Douglas Resendez, Nicolas, Ashley, and Jennifer Hillman; great granddaughter, Vivian Resendez; and his favorite niece, Sherry.
Visitation will be on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan-Speedway, 2950 N. High School Rd., from 1-3PM. Service will immediately follow at 3PM. Carleton’s final resting place will be at Lincoln Memorial Gardens.
