Carl Wicks

Carl Ritchie Wicks, 69, passed away on February 11, 2023.

He was born on January 29, 1954, in Bloomington, Indiana, to Clyde and Julia Wicks.

He graduated Warren High School in 1972. He worked at Colonial Bakery, RCA at Sherman and Michigan, and retired from Ford Motor Company on English. Carl led a beautiful life full of family, classic cars shows, and fishing on Lake Eerie. Family was always his number one thing, and they cherish the many big, happy Christmases together.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 50 years, Mary Anna Cleary Wicks; son, Bradley Jay Wicks (Maria Del-Rosario Wicks); grandson, Liam Carlos Wicks; siblings, Clyde Richard Wicks (Annette Marie Wicks), Janet Rose Petro; brothers-in-law, Michael Edgar Cleary and Mark Richard Cleary; sister-in-law, Amy Marie Cleary Allred; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law, Marlin and Maudie Cleary; and brother, Clifford Ray Wicks.

Funeral service will take place Noon, Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229 with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will take place at the same location from 5p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2023.
