Carl Augustine Rennier

Carl Augustine Rennier, age 94 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Thursday night, September 26, 2024.

Carl was born on May 14, 1930 in Olney, Illinois, a son of Peter Joseph and Louvina Mary (Hahn) Rennier.  He is preceded in death by his parents. Carl was one of 11 children.  All 10 of his siblings have preceded him in death.

He was married to Mary Ann (Duvall) Rennier.  She preceded him in death on October 22, 2021.

Together Carl and Mary had nine children.  Two have preceded in death: Carla Rennier and Tammy Foster.

He is survived by seven children: Floyd (Vicki) Rennier, Tina (The late, Bob Boling) Boling, Debbie (Greg) Snow, Anna (Mike) Harvey, Joe (Michelle) Rennier, Steve (Janna) Rennier, and James (Nicki) Rennier.  

He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  

Carl served his country in the United States Navy on the USS Zelima (AF-49) during the Korean War.

Throughout his professional career he worked in the Pipefitter/Refrigeration field.

He was a member of the Local 440. He was a member for 69 years and retired after 32 years.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, located at 7243 East 10th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46219.

A funeral mass will begin at 12:00 Noon.  Father Michael O'Mara will officiate.

Committal will follow at Calvary Cemetery where Carl will be laid to rest with his wife Mary.
