77, of Allyn, WA, passed away July 20, 2017. Carl was born in Indianapolis, IN on August 22, 1939 to the late Errol and Francis (Merritt) Dunlap.

Carl served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. He worked briefly as a police officer for the Indianapolis Police Department before going on to retire from US Airways in Customer Service. Carl enjoyed boating, football – especially the Colts, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.

Carl will be lovingly missed by his wife, Julie (Heugel) Dunlap; children, Tom (Kim) Dunlap, Curt Dunlap, and Rhonda (Pete) Hahn; grandchildren: Jessica Meeker (Harmon), Andrew Dunlap, Danielle Hahn, Nick Renfroe, Spencer and Krystal Nollner, and Dorian, Ridlee, Callan, Kaitlin and Logan Dunlap; and six great-grandchildren: Harmony and Ethan Meeker, Grayson and Ronin Meeker, and Kassidy and Gavin Ealverde.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Donald, Richard and Norman Dunlap; and one sister, Irma West.

Friends may call from 1pm until 2pm on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2pm, with Bishop George Wright officiating. Burial with military honors will follow services in Washington Park East Cemetery.
