C. Diane Mitchell

C. Diane Mitchell, 77, of Carmel passed away January 4, 2023.  She was born November 23, 1945, in Indianapolis, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Helen (Leslie) VanMeter.  She married Philip Mitchell in 1979.  He preceded her in passing on February 3, 2005.

Diane worked for various mortgage companies as a Title Clerk for over 30 years.  She was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan, being a season ticket holder for the last 10+ years.  She enjoyed dancing, attending concerts, and playing euchre.

She is survived by her loving son, Jeffrey (Amber) Chester; four grandchildren, Alixandria (Damyon), Cassandra (Shawn), Jakob, and Jessica; four great grandchildren, Wyatt, Lydia, Jayson, and Madelyn; her brother, Kevin (Debra) VanMeter; and her long-term partner, Timothy Ball.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Hamilton Memorial Park (Lakeview Chapel), 4180 Westfield Road.  Visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of service at the chapel.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Susan G.
