Brian Douglas Connor was born in Johnstown, PA to James and Marie Connor. He grew up in western Pennsylvania until he was a teenager, when his parents moved the family to northern Indiana. Brian would graduate from Lake Central High School before moving on to attend Indiana State University, where he would earn a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Criminology and a minor in Computer Science.

After marrying the love of his life, Lisa (Sparks), they moved to Indianapolis, where he worked in the information technology field, starting at American United Life and then GE Capital. Brian retired in 2020. As their boys grew up, Brian enjoyed coaching in the Pike Youth League in soccer, baseball, and basketball.

Brian was a lifelong outdoor lover. His many past times included hunting, fishing, hiking, kayaking, and golfing. He spent many happy hours in these activities with family and good friends. Recently, he and Lisa moved to Whitestown to continue enjoying retirement together.

Brian is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Lisa, children, Ian (Kenzia) and Riley (Heather), and siblings, Robert (Mary), Sandra, David, and Karen. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Marie Connor.

A memorial gathering will be held in Brian’s honor from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Flanner Buchanan – Zionsville at 105 W Pine St, Zionsville, IN 46077.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributes can be made in Brian’s name to Indiana Natural Resources Foundation, 402 West Washington St, W256, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
