Bonnie Ruth Overton

Bonnie Ruth Overton 80 of Indianapolis, Indiana went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 7, 2022. She was born on May 25, 1942, in Jellico, Tennessee to the late James C. and Naomi (Ausmus) King. Bonnie loved her Pugs, was an avid gardener, and was an excellent Angler especially when it came to Walleye and Perch. She was a member of the Southwest Church of the Nazarene where she was involved sending cards of encouragement and well wishes for those who were ill. Bonnie was a devoted Christian being a true Ambassador for the Lord and a faithful Prayer Warrior. She is survived by her children, Veda (Scott) Simmons, Vicki (John) Minardo, Vonda (Robert) Brailler, Vivian (Tim) Conlin, Joe (Cindy) Overton, grandchildren, Andrew, Jeremiah, Sarah, Joshua, Jordan, Erika, Lacey, Aubrey, Amanda, Jaclyn, Zachary, Jessica, Jacob, James, Brandon, Adam, Sarah, Elijah, Samuel, 22 great grandchildren, her sister, Joann, and her brothers, David, Hugh, James and Arnold. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Verlin Overton, a grandson, Joshua and her sister, Mary. Visitation for Bonnie will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, 12:00pm-1:30pm at Southwest Church of the Nazarene 4797 Tincher Road Indianapolis, IN with the funeral service immediately following at 1:30pm. She will be laid to rest in the West Newton Cemetery in West Newton, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
