Bonnie Lou Jenkins

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bonnie Lou Jenkins, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who was cherished beyond words.

Bonnie was the devoted mother of four children: Cherie, Charlie, David, and John. She was also a proud grandmother to Courtney and partner Corey, Cody and partner Tess, Kacie, Miranda, Brandie and partner Calob, and Kristie, and a loving great-grandmother to Jaxstyn, Paisley, Zepplyn, Beatrix, and Oliver. Her family was her greatest joy, and her love for them knew no bounds.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories. Bonnie had a special place in her heart for her Boston Terrier, Lilly, whom she adored and spoiled endlessly.

Bonnie had a sweet tooth, with a particular love for strawberry milkshakes. She was also known for her playful and flirty spirit, never missing an opportunity to bat her eyes at the handsome doctors and nurses who cared for her—always knowing how to get her way with a little charm. Her silly and lighthearted nature brought laughter to those around her, making every moment with her unforgettable.

Above all, Bonnie was the best mother and grandmother anyone could ask for—a source of unwavering love, warmth, and kindness. Her legacy of love and joy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and adored her.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, located at 2525 E. 11th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46201.

An additional visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM - also at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Her funeral service will follow at 10:00 AM. Pastor Seth A. Mierow will officiate.

Burial will follow at New Crown Cemetery where Bonnie will be laid to rest with her husband Jack.
