Bonnie Jeanne Bridges-Neff-Crist,
47, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on November 27, 2019. She had lived in Richmond, Virginia for a few years, but returned home to Indianapolis before passing. She was born on October 22, 1972 to Laurie A. Neff and Charles A. Bridges in Jackson, Mississippi. Later she moved with Laurie and her husband Richard B. Neff to New Jersey for 8 years. Laurie and Richard later relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana, where they raised Bonnie into the amazing woman she was.
Bonnie married James E. Crist on June 27, 1992, and the two were married for 26 years. On March 23, 1995, Bonnie gave birth to her son, James Brian Crist. A few years later on August 20, 1998, Bonnie gave birth to her beautiful daughter, Bailey Kathleen Crist. They resided in Indianapolis, Indiana, for several years.
Bonnie was a medical program coordinator at Harrison College in downtown Indianapolis for seven years. She got her Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting, her Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management, and her Master’s Degree and Doctorate in Health Education. She co-authored a McGraw-Hill textbook on Medical Administration. Bonnie was also a Professor in Healthcare Education at Virginia College in Richmond, Virginia for about two years.
Bonnie Jeanne Bridges-Neff-Crist was a strong, determined, very hard-working, successful, and she never gave up. She was one of the most loving, caring, and passionate individuals who ever lived. She will be remembered this way by friends, family, and loved ones forever and always.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; or please consider donating some of your time to a local nursing home in Bonnie’s memory.
