BONITA D. HOOD was born on August 18, 1949, in Indianapolis, Indiana to parents James and Janet McQueen.
Bonita was educated through the Indianapolis Public School system where she graduated from Crispus Attucks High School. Following graduation, Bonita went straight to work at Fort Benjamin Harrison where she retired after 40 years of employment. She later went to work for H&R Block where she was dearly loved by her customers and staff.
Bonita was a loving mother, grandmother, auntie, and good friend. She had a smile that would lighten up the room. She loved to spend time with friends and family and enjoyed playing cards. Bonita’s favorite cocktail was Crown Royal, and she was known for making the best macaroni and cheese and tuna casserole.
Bonita D. Hood departed this life on September 30, 2022, at the age of 73 years old. She was beloved and will be dearly missed. Bonita was preceded in death by her parents, James and Janet McQueen; son, Thomas Dozier; grandson, Reginald Hendricks Jr.; brother and sister-in law, Tony and Vicky McQueen; nephew, Troy McQueen; and great-granddaughter, Shamiya Rose
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Andrea Hendricks (Reginald); son, Donnell Sanders; brother, Mark McQueen; niece, Tiffany McQueen; and a host of other loved ones and many friends.
