Bob O. Bishop

Bob O. Bishop, 94, of Oaklandon, Indiana passed away October 23, 2020 at 6:11 am. He was born August 8, 1926 in Arcadia, Indiana.

Bob married the love of his life, Lorene (Frankie) Bishop on May 18, 1963 in Arcadia, Indiana.

He loved working in the yard grooming and detailing it. It brought him great joy. He enjoyed sports that included basketball, bowling, skeet shooting and golf.

He was a one in a million man. He was a loving, devoted and Godly man, who cherished his wife and family. He did not take life for granted.

He was an industrious hard worker and a man of his word. He farmed for about a year. After his service in the Army, he attended college. With his positive friendly attitude; he was successful in a sales career. Later he purchased a hardware store – “Bishop’s Pro Hardware”.

Bob is survived by his daughter Kimberly Pokalsey, grandchildren (oldest to youngest) Cindy Brooks Marsh, Richard Upton, Angela (Brooks) Butrum, Jeff Upton, Tina (Brooks) Barham, Tim Brooks, Michelle R. Bowen, Samuel Shane Bishop Bowen, Kayla Pokalsey, Destiny Pokalsey; and several Great-Grandchildren.

Bob is preceded in death by his wife Lorene (Frankie) Bishop; parents Clarence and Marion Bishop; sibling Ross Bishop and children: Gene Brooks, Sharon Upton, and Gary Brooks.

He is the apple of God’s eye. We will miss him dearly.
