Billy Wayne Scott, 72 of Greenfield, IN, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. Billy was born on September 26, 1949, in Tompkinsville, KY to parents Elmer and Mary Scott. He was number 7 out of 10 total siblings. Eventually, the family made their way up north to Indianapolis where Billy attended Arlington High School.

Billy was drafted into the U.S Army and served from 1969 to 1971. He then went on to work as an operator for Poindexter in 1983 and retired from there in 2011. Billy was also known as an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed spending his time in nature fishing and hunting.

Billy is survived by his loving life companion of 40 years, Connie Illy; his siblings, Maydel, Cally, Bonnie, Frannie, and Keith; stepchildren, Debbie, Dennis, Sherry, Terry, John; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in passing by his parents, and his siblings, William, Shirley, Dean and Mary.

A visitation will be held at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46229, on Monday, January 31, 2022, from 10am to 12pm. Funeral services will follow at 12pm.

Billy will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery.
