Billy "Abe" Wayne Keen

Indianapolis, Indiana

Billy W. “Abe” Keen 11/30/42-6/24/18

Preceded in death by parents, Ira & Ruby Keen; and brother, Robert. He left behind, devoted wife, Lillian; step-children, Lillian (Brian) Duggan, James Yates and step-son, Carl Denny; 2 step-grandchildren, Frank and Clara Duggan. Abe also left behind many, many Legion Friends.

He retired from Indiana Bell. He truly loved his job with the telephone company and had many funny stories to tell.

He proudly served in the United States Army in the Air-Borne Division. He was a life member of the K.N. Dowden – Wayne #64 American Legion Post, VFW Post 908 and Amvets 99. He enjoyed talking, laughing and joking with other veterans. Not many “War” stories, just funny happenings, like, he made 42 jumps out of a perfectly good airplane.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Occupation Comfort Warriors or USO of Indianapolis.

Visitation will take place on Friday, June 29, 2018 10am-12pm at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12pm.
