Billie K. Realey 84 of Camby, Indiana passed away May 16, 2023. He was born on August 4, 1938, in Beech Grove, Indiana to the late Claude A. and Nellie J. (Rapier) Realey. He was a 1956 graduate of Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. Bill, as he was affectionately known, worked for the Indianapolis Public Schools in the Maintenance Department for 35 years retiring in 1999. He proudly served our country in the United States Army attaining the rank of PFC. Bill enjoyed fishing, camping, and helping with his wife’s garden. He was a master of telling corny jokes and “Mr. Fix It” to his family. He had a knack for knowing the year of classic cars simply by sight. He loved his dogs, and he enjoyed wintering in Umatilla, Florida with his wife for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family sharing stories. Bill was a member of Valley Mills Christian Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. Bill was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, M. Anne Realey, whom he married on December 9, 1961, his son, Matthew (Carolyn) Realey, grandchildren, Jacob Realey, Alexandra Realey, and brother, Jack Realey. Besides his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Claudia Slate and his son, Mark Realey. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023, 4:00pm-7:00pm and Tuesday, May 23, 2023, 10:00am-11:00am at Valley Mills Christian Church, 5555 Kentucky Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46221. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, 11:00am at the church. Bill will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery, West Newton, Indiana. Memorial gifts may be made to Valley Mills Christian Church Maintenance Fund. Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township is honored to be serving the family.
