Bill McKinley Woods,

75, of Indianapolis, passed away September 14, 2017. He was born on June 10, 1942 in Hyden, Kentucky as the son of McKinley and Maltie Woods. Bill moved to Indianapolis shortly after getting married and was an Indianapolis resident for the rest of life. He found employment at Dodd Electric where he served for 34 years, working his way up through the company ranks and becoming a part owner. In 1996 he started his own company, B M Woods Electric, and he provided excellent service to many until he suffered a stroke 9 years ago.
Bill loved camping, boating, and water skiing. He also relished putting in a hard day’s work, but enjoyed nothing more than being at home with his wife and three girls at the end of the day. Most of all, he loved his Savior, Jesus Christ, who saved him on November 17, 2000. Bill became a member of Burge Terrace Baptist Church after becoming a Christian.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Juanita (Wells) Woods; his daughters, Debbie Magee, Donna (Milton) Vincent, Deanna (John) Gardner; his grandchildren, Aaryn, Brooke, Brendan, Bethany, Courtney, Benjamin, Breanna, Nathan, and Danielle; and his sisters, Kathleen Kile and Betty Couch.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 4pm to 8pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Memorial Park. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 10:30am, also at the funeral home.
