Beverly Kay Wesonig Herron

July 20, 1937 — December 2, 2024

Beverly Kay Wesonig Herron, beloved wife of Jon Herron, loving mother of Brad and Kurt, grandmother to 8 wonderful grandkids, great grandmother of 9, passed away on December 2 at her home in Carmel, Indiana.

 Beverly was born July 20, 1937 in Phoenix, AZ to Simon and Thelma Wesonig. She spent her early years in Pittsburg, KS with her parents and brother Charles -where her father owned a funeral home. She met the love of her life, Jon, at a school dance in 1954. She graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1955-got married to Jon L Herron in 1959 -proceeded to get her Bachelor of Science from Pitt State University in 1960. Her husband took a job in Kokomo, Indiana where she had two outstanding sons; Jon Bradford in 1961 and Kurtis Malcolm in 1964. Her Journey with Jon over a wonderful 65 years of marriage took her to Kokomo IN, Michigan, California, and then finally to Carmel, Indiana.

 Beverly was extremely talented with her Art and became a docent for 30 years at The Santa Barbara Art Institute and Indianapolis Museum of Art. She spent hours painting at the United Methodist church using her God’s Gifted talents. She was a world traveler visiting Ireland, Scotland, England, Russia, Italy and France.

 Beverly always had a warm smile and the Gift of Gab-she could talk to anybody at anytime anywhere. She had a soft spot for the needy/poor and contributed to many charitable functions.

Talk about a Sports Junkie she attended her sons football games and track events and loved her KU Jayhawks-Rock Chaulk!! And while she liked Indiana University Sports, she was a Boilermaker deep in her heart.

 Everyone loved our mom-she made all her family and friends feel at home and talked to you like you were her Best Friend. Absolutely one of kind wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother! She was truly a Gift from God and will be greatly missed!

 She is survived by her wonderful husband Jon of 65 years- two fantastic sons; Brad(Joanne) and Kurt(Lisa); 8 Gifts from God Grandchildren, 7 boys-1 Girl, Steven Royal Oak, MI, Bradford Grosse Pointe Woods, MI, Jeffrey Chicago, Ill, Andrew (Jordan) Noblesville, IN Matthew (Aubrey) Noblesville, IN,Grace Castino (Charles) Westfield, IN, Joseph (Megan) Whitestown, IN, Benjamin Washington, DC; 9 Beautiful Great Grandkids, Eli, Mia, Asher, Ava, Skye, Crew, Cohen, Callie, Cece. She is also survived by her brother, Charles (Michele) Wesonig and her two nieces, Angie McGrath, Joy (Jeff) Konnesky; sister-in-law, Linda (William) McAnany; nephews David (Susan) Heller, Shawn (Karen) Heller; late sister-in-law, Sandra (William) Heller.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial Contributions can be to the Food Pantry at Carmel United Methodist Church or the Charity of your choice.
