Beverly June Harmon Moore was born in Zionsville, Ind. on December 15, 1933. She attended Zionsville public schools and graduated from Zionsville High School in 1952. It was located where the Mayfield-Hussey Public Library is now on Walnut Hill. Bev worked at Eagle Elementary School cafeteria for five years and St. Vincent Hospital food service in purchasing for nineteen and a half years.
She has been a member of Trader’s Point Christian Church for 35 years.
Bev and Gary W. Moore were married August 7, 1953 in Leavenworth, Kansas. They were married for 60 years before he passed away October 16, 2013.
She has three sons who survive: Walter H. (Lora) Moore of Lebanon, Ind., Joseph P. (Dave) Moore of Indianapolis, Ind., and Daniel D. (Becky) Moore of Grovetown, Georgia. Also surviving are her brother Wayne Harmon of Franklin, Ind.; four grandchildren Jeremy Ryan (Elizabeth), Keith Allen, Kimberly Lynn, and Leia Mae (Richard) of Lebanon, Ind; five great-grandchildren, Lilly June Culley, Amber Lynn Moore, Allyson Rose Ford, and Ash Proctor; and Alice Padgett. She was preceded in death by her parents Claud Harmon and Edith (Delong) Harmon, and siblings Viva, Evelyn, Emogene, Maribel, Donald, Pleasant, Crystal, Eldon, and Barbara, and great-grandson Sean William Culley.
Bev and Gary entered Hoosier Village October 24, 2012.
