Beverly Ann Griner of Indianapolis passed away peacefully on November 18, 2021 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 61.
She was born February 20, 1960 in Covington, Kentucky to John D. and Mary (Sullivan) Olding.
Beverly was born at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was the second of six children. She attended St. Paul’s Elementary, A. M. Yaley, and Conner Junior High while she lived in Kentucky. Her family moved to Indianapolis in 1974 where she then attended Stoneybrook Junior High and Warren Central (c/o 1978).
She married her high school sweetheart, Scott, whom she met in tenth grade while working at Jolly Foods. They married in August of 1980, welcomed their first baby (Stacie) in August of 1984 and their second child (Kellie) in March of 1987. Before beginning her final career with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield in 1985, Beverly worked as the assistant bookkeeper at Marsh Supermarket right out of high school. Throughout her life, Beverly enjoyed crafting, vacationing with family, following her teams (Pacers, Colts, & Hoosiers), but her greatest joy came from spending time with her husband, daughters, and grandchildren. She also loved her yorkie, Trixie!
Beverly’s favorite time of year was the holidays. Her passion for decorating was enjoyed by all her family and friends. She had a tree decorated for each and every holiday! Beverly was known far and wide for her famous chocolate chip cookies! Anyone who ever had one will tell you, “Those are the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever had!” Those who knew Beverly well can attest that she was one of the kindest people they knew. She was always doing for others. Beverly will be missed by everyone who knew her.
