Beulah (Beth) Cordell was called home Sunday August 29, 2021. She was the middle child of 5 children born to Charles and Clarice Richardson. The apple of her father’s eye, she lost her father at a young age and missed him her whole life. While waiting tables, she met the love of her life, Richard Cordell. After a short romance they realized it was written in the stars and married. They were married until March 2000, when the love of her life broke his promise and left her to go home to God. She birthed 3 daughters but was blessed to raise Richard’s son and daughters her own. Raising 5 children was not an easy task, but she always felt blessed by the rewards of motherhood. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren filled to the delight of Beth. She made quilts for each of the new babies who called her Grandma and GiGiBeth.
Beth lived her whole adult life in Indianapolis, until warmer weather called her to Foley, Alabama. After a stroke in 2019, she returned to Indy until her death.
She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings daughter Norma Seib, granddaughter Lisa Seib, and great-granddaughter Madeline Seib.
She is survived by sister-in-law Carolyn Richardson, her children, son Dale (Rite) Cordell, son-in-law Edmund Seib, daughters Patty (Chris) Williams, Barbara Cordell, Lynda, and Angie Wilson, plus an adopted daughter Karen Brock, 10 terrific grandkids, 17 great-grandkids, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
