Bettylou "Betz" W Strickland

Bettylou (Betz) Strickland, 96, went to her Heavenly home on Sunday, March 31st.
She was born on July 4, 1922 to Walter O. and Ellen Wright in Lynnville, Indiana. She died at
Westminster Village, Indianapolis.

During World War II she married Wesley Cunningham, who died in 1967. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Jeanne, Lee, and Gary.

She worked at American United Life Insurance Company (now One America) for 27 years She first worked as an administrative secretary in the
Law department. She was executive secretary to two AUL presidents, and one CEO. She was always proud to be a part of the company.

Shortly before she retired she married a widower, Albert N. Strickland, who, long ago had been a childhood neighbor and schoolmate. Al died in 2002. He was survived by his three sons, Paul, Richard, and Raymond.

She is survived by her three children, Jeanne Duncan, Marion, Lee (Sandy) Cunningham, Spencer, and Gary (Somme) Cunningham, Spencer, four grandchildren, Jamie, Marion, Scott(Lauren) Duncan, Indianapolis, Ryder and
Tessa Cunningham, Spencer. She has one great grandchild, Isla Duncan, Indianapolis.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her younger sister, Mary Lois Poole, and great grandson, Michael Duncan.

Mrs. Strickland was a member of Allisonville Christian Church.
