Bettye J. Hopson

Indianapolis, Indiana (IN)

Bettye J. Hopson was the youngest child of Joseph Lee Livers, Sr.
and Anna Louise Livers, born May 2, 1949 in Bardstown, Kentucky.
She graduated Bardstown High School and just attended her 50th
Class Reunion.
She confessed her faith in Christ at 1st Virginia Ave. Baptist Church
in Louisville, Kentucky and was also a member of 1st Baptist Church
in Bardstown, Kentucky.
Bettye moved to Indianapolis, Indiana where she raised her children
and became an active member of Mt. Paran Baptist Church for 25 years.
She later became their Financial Secretary. After working 15 years for
Kroger she retired and later became the Financial Secretary of United
Methodist Church where she worked for over 20 years.
Bettye had an avid love for history and historical places. She was a
traveling connoisseur who traveled the U.S. and several countries around
the world. She often said, “No matter what your lot in life may be; always
build something on it.”
Bettye departed peacefully Wednesday afternoon, March 28, 2018. Her
parents and two brothers; Joseph Lee (Junie) Jr. and James Livers
preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children; Curtis A., Tracey M., Stephanie Y.,
Margot S., Keith A., Latanya L., Morgan R. Jr., her sister, Mildred
(Livers) Richard, Nieces; Phyllis (Greg) and Theresa Richard; a host
of nephews, nieces, grandchildren, a great grand, loving relatives
and friends.
