Betty Rose Smock

On Sunday, December 20, 2020, Betty Smock, loving mother of four children, passed away at age 71. She was a retired elementary teacher, caring for her students for over 20 years. She loved playing Euchre with family, thrilled by the search for the best bargains, owned and operated a chain of retail stores while her children were young, and was happiest at the beach with her kids and grandkids. She adored her children, grandchildren, and her dog Tommy Pickles. Betty was preceded in death by her father Saul and her mother Monica. She survived by her four children, Kate, Andrew, Philip, and Jenny, her six grandchildren, Nadia, Karina, Nolan, Eli, Paul and Quinn, and her five siblings Lois, Nora, Alice, Robert and William. A private funeral service was held on Saturday December 26, 2020 at Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Teachers Treasures (www.teacherstreasures.org).
