Betty Rose Boss, of Indianapolis passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 28, 2019 at the age of 60.
Betty was born February 12, 1959 in Terre Haute, IN to the late Robert Jeffers and June Bratt Jeffers.
After high school, she went on to obtain her degree in nursing. She spent her career caring for seniors for most of her career at Beverly Brookview. Her most recent position at Millers Manor was also a second home to her. Betty’s passion was caring for other people and ensuring that all of her patients had a voice. To Betty her patients were family. Betty routinely cooked snacks and meals for her patients and coworkers, as she was always known as the good cook and everyone always wanted her recipes. Her passions also included the beach and dolphins.
Growing up Betty participated in 4H with her mother June where she learned to design and create clothing and many other crafts. Betty also played the flute during High School and performed with her High School band marching in the Rose Bowl Parade during her Senior year. Betty enjoyed cooking for her family and made it a point to ensure everyone had a seat at her table. Betty’s smile was truly contagious and she would go out of her way to make you smile even if you were having a tough day. Betty was a caring Daughter, Mother and Nana. Betty’s love for her family and friends was obvious to anyone she met. Betty will be truly missed by all who knew her. The memory of Betty will stand in her place as she lives in eternity in heaven with her parents.
She is survived by her husband Richard Boss; daughters Amanda Sanchez, Melissa Aguilera (Tomas Aguilera), and Michelle Aleshire (Eric Gilbert); grandchildren Johnathan Whitley, Ayana Aleshire, Omar Lopez, Ayana Aleshire, Mario Reyes, Kenneth Sanchez, and Gabriela Conejo; and great grandchildren Malea Whitley, Aubree Whitley, Jaydan Whitley and Adonis Townsend.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 5 from 12 to 3 PM with a Funeral Service beginning at 3 PM in Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St, Indianapolis.
