Betty Lou Haught

Betty Lou (Jerome) Haught, 89, of Indianapolis, IN passed away Dec. 15, 2018. She was born Feb. 3, 1929 in Connersville, IN to the late Florence A. Evans and Glen H. Jerome.

Betty is survived by her sister, Mary Ellen Huckins and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Haught, Jr.

Betty graduated from Shortridge High School and was an employee of AHM Graves Realtors. She was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church; the American Legion, Robert Kennington Post 34, where she remained an active member. She had served as President of the Auxiliary as well as President of the 11th District and was Chapeau of the 8 & 40. She enjoyed playing with her card groups including, Bridge, Euchre and Hand & Foot.

Calling will be held from 10am until 11am on Wednesday, Dec. 19th at Flanner Buchanan- Broad Ripple. The American Legion Auxiliary will conduct a poppy ceremony just prior to the funeral service at 11am. Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville, IN.

Charitable contributions in Betty’s memory may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
