Betty Lou Burgess

Betty Lou Burgess, 93 of Indianapolis, IN passed away November 30, 2021. She was born January 11, 1928 in Monticello, KY to the late Murrell and Flossie (Daniels) Polson. Betty was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing and in general enjoyed life to the fullest. Betty was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 ½ years, Jim, children, Jimmie Burgess, Shirley (Cegal) Ferguson, Patricia (Bobby) Miller, Sherry Conforti, Rodney Gene Hollingsworth, daughter-in-law, Bonnie Hollingsworth, grandchildren, Tammy, Shannon, Charla, Shae, Chad, Todd, nieces, Neda (John) Ward, Kimmie (John) O’Brien, Vicky Kendrick, nephews, Gary (Linda) Kendrick, Michael Wilson, James Paul (Lynn) Blake, and a host of other nieces, nephews, and extended family. Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by her son, Billy Dean Hollingsworth and a grandson, Wayne. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Flanner Buchanan Floral Park with the funeral service there at 1:00 pm. Betty will be laid to rest at West Ridge Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
