Betty June Huffman

Betty June Huffman 93 of Indianapolis passed away on October 29, 2022.  June was born on June 01, 1929, in Indianapolis to Harley O. and Bonnie M. (Stewart) Huffman.  June began to work as a switchboard operator for Polk Milk Company, then she went onto work in the office at St. Francis Hospital before her career with Allison Transmission.  This is where she was given the opportunity to go to Chicago to learn and train on the IBM computers.  June retired from there after 23 years of service before she began her work as a receptionist for Flanner Buchanan Funeral Centers.  June was a former member of Westview Christian church as well as the Zionsville Christian Church.  She was a 74-year member and Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star Corinthian Chapter #456.  She was also the Past President of the White Cross Guild at Methodist Hospital, and she was a member of the Ladies Oriental Shire Tarun Court -14.  June was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Harold E. Huffman. Memorial contributions may be given to the Shriners Hospital for Children Transportation Unit
