Betty J. Worton

Betty J (Fredrick) Worton 92 of Indianapolis died January 19, 2017. Betty was born on January 09, 1925 in Indianapolis to William Alfred and Irene Grace (Rassell) Fredrick. Betty was a graduate of Warren Central High School. She worked as a secretary for Standard Oil CO. then for Baldwin and Lyons Insurance CO. She retired in 1983. Betty was an active member Chapel Hill United Methodist Church where she gave of her time talents and treasures and her sorority Iota Tau Chapter. She married the lover of her life Erwin “Buddy” F. Worton on June 11, 1960 in Indianapolis, IN. She was preceded in death by her sons; David and James and siblings; Mabel, William “Willy”, Edward and John Fredrick. Calling will be held on Tuesday January 24, 2017 at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church 963 North Girls School Road Indianapolis, IN 46214 from 11 am to 1 pm followed by the Funeral Service at 1 pm. Betty is survived by her husband Erwin “Buddy” F. Worton, son; William “Bill” (Lyn) Worton, daughter in laws Carolyn and Mary her grandson Tim (Laurie) Worton and two great grandchildren Aaron and Mara Worton and a sister Marilyn (Jim) Buckhorn, 5 nieces and 2 nephews and 6 great nieces and nephews.
