Bettie Lou Steele

Bettie Lou Steele, 93 of Indianapolis passed away September 1, 2017. Bettie was born, grew up, and lived for most of her 93 years on the west side of Indianapolis. Family meant everything to her throughout her life. She was one of seven children and is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Mona and Walter Wittman, and her brothers and sisters, Henry, Thelma, Helen, Warren, Ginny, and Walt. She and her husband Luther were married 72 years before he passed in 2014. They were blessed with three children, Dave Steele (deceased), Becky Steele Thornley, and Debbie Steele Woodson. She shared her love with eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
