Bettie J. Eward,

86, of Indianapolis, Indiana, went to be with her Lord while surrounded by family on December 2, 2020. She was born May 28, 1934, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Paul and Mildred (Pope) Turner.

Bettie graduated from Broad Ripple High School after which she married her childhood sweetheart, Frank B. Eward, and the two of them were together for 68 years. Bettie was a devoted housewife and mother to her eight children.

Bettie loved travelling to Florida with her husband, as well as watching her grandchildren play sports; especially baseball. She was an avid animal lover, and she had 23 pet birds at one time.

Bettie was preceded in death by her brother, Richard P. Turner; husband, Frank B. Eward; sons: Steven M. Eward, and Jack L. Eward; daughter, Karen S. Scott; and grandson, Ryan D. Neal.

Bettie is survived by her son, Frank Eward; daughters: Kimberly Enochs, June Eward Ferry, and Leann Neal; sixteen grandchildren, and twenty-six great-grandchildren. She will forever be loved and missed by her family and friends.

Visitation will be held on December 8 from 11 AM to 1 PM, with a Funeral Service to follow at 1 PM, at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 E Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229.
