Bertha Leona Tyree

Bertha Leona Tyree 86, of Mooresville, Indiana went to her heavenly home on January 12, 2023. She was born June 8, 1936, in Scottsville, Kentucky to the late Jasper “Jack” Owen and Flora (Holland) Keen. Bertha was a Pastor’s wife serving at Charity Chapel General Baptist Church and Gethsemane General Baptist Church for many years. She had great love for the children of the church and spent many hours tending and teaching to her church family of children. Bertha is survived by her sister, Jacqueline Keen, her loving children, Jacqueline Denise Drain, Robert Edward (Debbie) Tyree, James William Tyree, Dale Allen (Janet) Tyree, Foster Daughter, Nevaeh Amick, eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Pastor Floyd E. Tyree, brothers, Owen Keen, Bruce Keen, and her son-in-law, Richard Lippitz. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, 5:00-8:00pm with the funeral service on Thursday, January 19, 2023, 1:00pm. Bertha will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery.
