Bernard Eugene Keller

Bernard (“Bernie”) Eugene Keller returned to the Lord on June 20, 2020. Born in Bloomington, Indiana on February 7, 1940, Bernie passed peacefully at his home in Brownsburg, Indiana. Bernie was 80 years old.

Bernie is survived by Ellen Keller, his wife of more than 48 years, his sister, Barb DeLisio (Mike) and his brother, William “Billy” Keller (Joyce). Bernie also leaves his five children, Kathy Keller, Kevin Connell (Kelly), Vicki Keller, Kristin Keller and Bernie “Too” Keller (Sheila) and his seven grandchildren, Brittany Keller, Shelby Keller, Alyas Connell, Trae Harger, Luke Keller, Lauren Keller and Karli Keller.

Bernie was preceded in death by his father, Roscoe Keller and his mother, Marjorie Keller.

A 1958 graduate of Indianapolis Washington High School, Bernie received both his Bachelor’s degree and his Master’s degree in Guidance Counseling from Ball State University. Bernie was a lifelong educator. He spent the majority of his career teaching, coaching and counseling in the Indianapolis Public Schools. Bernie touched and influenced thousands of lives in that regard.

Bernie loved his family and helping others, but above all, Bernie loved the Lord.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. Thursday June 25, 2020 at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park North, 2706 Kessler Blvd. West Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46228.
